 Finally got the courage up to submit something as plain as this ol' piece of sky and try to capture the moment when the moon looked totally alone after being surrounded by those small clouds you see passing through. I took this over my local fishing lodge, where a lot of my pics originate from. Alterations as follows:
Sharpened, noise-reduced, levels.

Desolation is a dubious connection here, but I like the idea and execution.

I find this uplifting rather than desolate. Nice image though and what gives me joy could drive another to despair.
