The title is the birthday of the model, Helgi Hóseason. Helgi is well known in Iceland for protesting against the church, christianity and war. I find it rather appropriate to photograph him during Easter.
I asked him if I could take some photographs of him, he said I could if I would make him look decent. I tried my best. While photographing we had a nice chat about politics, the war in Iraq and Jesus Christ.

Very nice finish for a fine shot! Love the sidelong glance! I wonder how many have noticed this was shot with the 10-22mm lens? Except it isn't :-( EXIF shows 68mm; want to change the lens in the data field?

This has GOT to get a ribbon! It's the only one I'm faving right now (193 votes so far). Everything about this image has appeal for me: That look and that huge beard in particular. Also love the strong blacks and whites in tone.
