Just my opinion but the right angles don't constitute the strength of this photo with the action of the water, the grounding brown tones of the hill and the light blue tones of the sky.
Beautiful picture, but I don't find right angles of the pier to be the strong point of the image...Rather, the background hills with it's strong color and the water seem to have a much greater impact for me, than the pier, which acts only as a way of leading the eye in to the BG
