This one's composition is a bit cluttered. Needed to isolate those cone buds a bit more. The two vertical branches on either side are distracting.

Also, more saturation would have made the colour more vivid, which would add impact.

Great focus and DOF though.

There are many similar shots in this challenge, therefore in order to get a really high mark, the image would have to be perfectly focused and jump and at you and also any excess distraction is removed. Unfortunately yours is a little off on both these accounts.

I'm neutral on this one... The light is bleaching out the colors... if it were shielded from the sunlight I think you may have been able to capture more vibrant color from both the main subject as well as the supporting element in the picture, which would have increased the contrast and put more focus on the subject itself.
