This is very well done. It has all of the right elements, vivid color, exceptional composition, the right amount of contrast, and even an abstract element.
VERY nice; contrasts of color, texture and shape; translucent and transparent areas in the petals; nice detail in the flower center; even the tiny bit of green in the upper left works.
nice shot! The composition here is excellent... The lighting is a little bright to suit my tastes.. I have photographed flowers in the past and found that an overcast day or some amount of shade on teh flower helps the 'punch' quite a bit :) = 7 - jmsetzler

Nice shot of the flower... You might want to try cropping just a bit more, mostly so you get rid of the green bit in the upper left. Softer lighting might look better as well.
