The symmetry works well here. IMNSHO there's a tad too much foreground, but that's just me. Your picture, your call. I wish this were in a challenge so I could give it an 8 or 9.
You could be right about the foreground but for me the lines created by the wooden planks lead my eye into the shot :o)
