I think this shot would work _really_ well as a panoramic, with less sky at the top and less dark ground as well. The color range is wonderful here, though. I love your title, too.
Great job! The only suggestion I would have is to crop it closer to the lightening, so that the viewer doesn't wander around in the picture looking that the red lights, and other such stuff. Nice colors!
Excellent composition, I love the texture of the sky and the negative space. The radio towers are a distraction and you may want to clone them out for non-DPChallenge use. Since there is nothing you can do about them here they are not affecting my score. 8-ClubJuggle.

We had a (rare) fantastic lightning storm here last year and I got zero pictures of it. Very nice. Are those "actual" or "enhanced" colors? I don't care as far as voting, but would like to know in general how other folks adjust their images.
