I borrowed 7 chicks from a friend that were 3 days old. They were hard to work with because they were falling asleep or trying to get away. Used yellow tissue paper for the background and a yellow honey jar to set her in. Used natural light in my hothouse. Actually she was a good little chick to work with.
Had to do very little adjustments for this shot.

WOW!!! Another incredible shot Laurie!!! I am enjoying your photos SO MUCH!!! Every one is a winner! This is a great score, but I really think this ought to be on the front page! But congratulations on achieving such a COOL photo!!!!
If only the background here hadn't been yellow as well. The expression on the chick's face and the detail are super. The composition is great, but sadly it all gets rather lost in that yellow background.
