Next time try using natural light, the flash is a bit harsh. Nice arrangement though, the lighting is just a really important element that can make a photo great or not great.

This definitely meets the challenge, but could stand to be re-worked, compositionally speaking. The tilt of the placemat and cutting off the top of the flowers looks makes it look like this was a last-minute-snapshot rather than a well-planned photo. I can see that there was at least a little planning, and I can see where this could be a really good shot, it just looks overly rushed.

Wish you had not cut off the upper part of the flowers, like this it seems you moved the focus at the last moment..the light is way too harsh..
