Well...this was a lot of fun. I had my daughter float in the buthtub while I placed artificial flowers around her face. (There aren't many yellow flowers available at this time of the year!) And then I learnt something. Artifical flowers don't float....Arrrrggghhh!!
So then I had to take a large garbage bag and lay it over my daughter with a hole for her face and peg the bag up on both sides of the bath. As long as she didn't move they didn't sink....too quickly, anyway! LOL!! She did well to float for so long.
I got the shots alright though....thank goodness.
Then onto the PC and did the following -
Converted from RAW.
Used the Healing Brush on some freckles and the extra glints in the eyes.
Selective Colouring to reduce the red hue in the flowers.
Curves
Neat Image on the face (yeah, yeah...I know...!)

Beautiful soft lighting and very engaging model with intriguing eyes, but for all its beauty the primary subject, IMO, doesn't fit the challenge of yellow very well. Good work 6.
I would have liked to seem more contrast and a bit more saturation in the flowers, the skin seems like it was just a bit over-softened (lost edge fidelity in the eyebrows) overall a good image
Bold and vibrant hues of the floral arrangement adorn the young girls face. This makes and interesting portrait shot. The skin tones on her face are lovely with just a shade of rosy pink hue. The yellow hues of the flowers really and the pale skin really makes those blue eyes stand out and capture one's attention. However, there are some things that can move this composition from a good shot to an excellent one. First off, there seems to be white threads in the silk flowers or somthing white & threadlike in the bottom half of the photo and the right hand side. I know picky, picky:-) This detracts from the overall image by breaking up the yellow hues and it calls attention to itself as a flaw. Next, the model could smile for that would add to the composition in that it would show that she has a sunny disposition when juxtapositioned next to the stereotypical happy hues of yellow. Lastly there is something small and black seen on the left hand side of the composition. An ant or just a peaking of a black background through the yellow flowers? Nonetheless, it to calls attention to itself and detracts some attention away from the main focus which is this natural beauty surrounded by a field of yellow.
Really well done. The lighting and skins tones really work well. The little white flecks all through do distract and I'm sure under advanced you'd be allowed to clone them out
Not quite sure what the white spots are from.. Thinking it's either water, or the flowers are artificial and reflected the light? Regardless, this is a great photo.. what amazing eyes and skin!
