What a cool and interesting shot! If it weren't for those blown out highlights it'd be absolutly perfect, close to perfect is good enough for me though. Great job!

Nice and difficult. Look like a National Geographic picture.

Great capture, and the depth of field really brings out the bug's head

I wouldn't really call this an 'abstract' macro, but a wonderful shot nonetheless 8

This is a very good macro, but abstract...

Not an abstract, but a very lovely macro.

Cool picture, but not very abstract, the subject is easily identified.

I don't think it meets the challenge very well, but who cares it's dam good. Great point of focus, excellent lighting and non distracting background. 9 and worth every point.

Awesome macro! But it lacks the abstract value it needs to be a contender in this challenge.

It is a beautiful picture, but it's not abstract....that's a shame, it doesn't fit the challenge
Post actions
I do not find it abstract, but it is a nice shot anyway.
Post actions
Great macro, but doesn't, sadly, fit the abstract part at all.
Post actions
Wow! You must be a seasoned Macro photographer, beacause I know how hard it is to photograph insects. I love this, I really hope this wins a ribbon. I give this a well deserved 9

Well this is a wonderful macro, excellent DOF and clarity but it is not an abstract.

Very nice maco shot however there's nothing abstract about this. Gets a 6 from me since it's really good image in general.

This is beautiful and a perfect macro, but I know exactly what it is and don't have a sense of abstract. Maybe I'm taking the challenge too seriously, but that's my take on it. Great image.
