Ada,
You must fill this part in when you enter the photo. "Photograher's Comments"
This is such a beautiful photo. How long have you had your FZ30?
I own the FZ3 and am just getting ready to buy the FZ30.
How do you like the camera?
Wow Ada!!! What an amazing photo! And so impressive to win a blue ribbon on your first entry! May it be the first of many, and may your overall average never fall below 6.9 :)
Congratulations! This really is a deserving 1st place!
Thanks everyone, indeed!! I registered to this great community some months ago, but only now I have decided to partecipate. I'm Italian, so I hope you forgive my awful english language, I would like to say a lot of things, but...'too difficult' :))
Thanks again!
Really a moody shot. I truly loved it and was among my top favs in this challenge. Congrats on your first entry, your first win, wishing you many more!
Nice idea, composition, DOF, expression, eyes. White pawn is just a little too in-your-face, further away or just slightly further right would be better.
I really like this shot. The title of the photo is perfectly matched for the expression on the child's face. I think that B&W is a good choice, matching the black vs. white theme of Chess. I've seen this done low key before, but never high key ... I think the high key is a nice match for the youthfulness of the subject. Exposure appears to be very good! If I could offer a suggestion, it would be for stronger focus on the eyes, it looks a bit soft there. JMO.
Very cool picture, and nice expression on the boy. IMHO it would be better with some pieces other than pawns on the rightmost part of the board (it's a bit too plain). Also, I think a bit more contrast might be of help.
Really like this. Probably my fav of the challenge so far. The slight tilt of the chess board really works in this instance. The kid's expression is priceless. The focus on him makes for great DOF. The more I look at it, the more I'm upping the score. ok... 10
