"Jade" literally haunted me around DPC - I saw it many times before I finally overcome my laziness and clicked that "Add to favourites" link. :) It looks like it grew on me somewhat: for some reason I see in the voting breakdown that I gave this image a 7 when voting. Probably because of the little compositional uncertainty (see below), but I don't remember for sure.
I like "Jade" very much: it is not completely abstract, but the emphasis is very clearly on the shapes, lines and subtle changes in the shades of the colour.
The only thing that I keep wondering about this shot - would it not be a better composition if you flipped it along the horizontal axis, so that the leaves would point along the rising diagonal, rather than going against the falling diagonal?
Edit: The English language is not a friend of mine today.
Do you have a monopoly on the Agave photos yet :). Another great shot in this series. Love the soft colors and painted feel that the plant skin gives off. Beautiful lines as well.

these shots look like paintings...These would make amazing huge prints. I know they can print to big canvases...I am sure there would be a definite market for these in art shops throughout Austraila. You should look into this with a framing/gallery type business because you have a unique work kere and a style that is all yours

The texture is more or less flawless, the composition excellent, colours very elegant. Wonderful balance. Well done.
Gosh, there are two very similar shots in this challenge. This is lovely - great colours and composition - could almost be a painting. Love the muted tones.
Great lighting effects and just the right amount of sharpness on some ofthe edges to allow viewer an idea of what the subject is. Great colors, good subject choice "8"
Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I am particularly drawn to blue photos anyway, but this has the most ethereal, soft, wonderful feel of any picture I've seen! On of my very most favorites in this challenge. I hope it wins a ribbon because in my opinion it DESERVES to!!! Congratulations on taking such a spectacular photo!!!!!
I LOVE the shading in this shot....this is one of those photographs that would look stunning hanging on any wall. A truly great abstract, in my opinion!
