She had been after us for months to let her get her tongue pierced but once there begged us to not let her go through with it. I would have put the pic with the needle in but by that time she had calmed down showing absolutely no fear. This week we let her sister have hers done and I had a great pic of the fear in her as the needle was passing through but a week late. Thanks for the constructive comments. They really have helped. D
Different idea and a great experssion on her face. I think this would have worked a lot better if it had been a tighter vertical crop mainly of her (almost like a portrait) and the hand holding the swab a little closer. This would cut out all the unnecessary curtain space to the left and minimize the "clutter" on the wall behind. The colors also seem just a tad off -- I'm guessing because you were shooting under fluorescent lights.
Since I'm generally pertrified of needles, this gives me the willies. And then once I read the sign on the wall "Labtech is not responsible for accidents" Yikes! The image feels a bit staged, but I like it.
without the title, I was fearing where he was going with that swab. good capture of fear, you can see it on her face :O good job. With regards to the sign over sink....accidents? Hell of a disclaimer :) 8 cthenk
cool shot! I happen to know a little bit about this subject... i don' thave any piercings but my sister has a tattoo and piercing shop.. This often causes people to pass out and / or get sick. It is a real fear :) good shot! = 7 - jmsetzler
I love this and am giving it a 9, (Even though she looks anxious more than scared)After the voting is done I have a shot of my daughter getting her belly button pierced that I would LOVE to share with you.
She definitely looks uncomfortable, and the hand entering on the right adds a nice effect. I think it might have seemed more balanced if your subject was little further left in the picture. That would have gotten rid of some of that empty space too. The labtech sign in the back would make me fearful, too.
nice capture of fear in her face. you could have zoomed in a little more. also the lighting is not very good. her left arm is too bright. i would have chosen a much lesser DOF. it would be better when the background is blurred so that the viewer isn't distracted by the detail in the back.
