I was sitting on the porch after a day of rain. All the flowers and grass were wet and it smelled so good I just sat there. I set the timer on 10 seconds, and there you go.

for some reason... i am just not seeing this :). REMARKABLE SHOT!!! Really love it.... PS: i did the math... and you have been making an average of 20 coments per day on DPC for almost 3 years straight!!! WE LOVE YOU!
One that should be on the browse page -- missed this challenge to vote but this would have been among my top choices. The exposure really adds to the mood == your selection of filters always interests me. Here's a new one (I haven't checked out the others you use) that adds to the artistic quality. Well done.
JP loves this photo, the play of shadow and light is spectacular. JP thinks Judy did a wonderful job with this photo and that Judy is a wildly talented photographer. JP gives Judy the much-coveted, "Woah!"
I just realized that I hadn't commented on this photo yet. I guess it just slipped right by me. Anyway I hope your not too mad at me for it. :)
I really think this is one of your best entries to date. Everything about it is balanced and pleasant. I love that your feet are crossed too. The light is soft and shadowy. Congrats on one of your personal bests.
Congratulations Judi! I don't know what it is but I seem to like every photo you enter in competition! This one got a 9 from me with no doubts! Congratulations girl, you are getting there :)
7 - Don't mind the grain/toning/pp effect(s) - gives it character. A more finely tuned crop, especially on the left (elbow not cropped, or else more so), make this even better in my opinion. Guessing the 2 sec picked up a street or porch/front light, which again adds to the feel and character here, so well 'used'. Maybe a fraction dark, not sure. A little less grain/etc (softer) in the face, likely also have helped this in my opinion.
Every thing just seems to go together so naturaly in this image. Great use of lighting, nice attention to detail, good focus and clairity. Wonderful, composition.
