Cute composition - I like the colors, and there are no distractions in the background. The problem is the focus - the dog is not in it - and as the subject - that really matters! You also have a shadow showing and that is distracting - when you have this good of an idea you need to not let anything in your picture detract from it.

very nice shot. original ideas are my favorite. i think that there are other parts of the photo that i would have improved. there isnt too much contrast in the picture (pug= blond; wall=yellow; floor=light brown) maybe a red wall would have looked good but i understand not painting your house to take a picture. the other aspect that i would have improved is that there is little depth to the picture. every object in the photo is about the same distance from the camera. im refrehed by the concept which is what makes it better than most of the photos in this challenge. im soooooo tired of apples :P 7

Poor Pug. No trademark shots next week. Not much to say really. No major technical flaws; just a few compositional points. I dislike the corner line of the wall (although not sure what you could have doen about it). The colors are all similar so it lacks contrast and 'pop'.

Very cute. The side shadow from your flash was the only thing I found distracting. You can fix that by using a quick flip with your flash.
