My trusty yellow hiking boots bought some time in 98 or 99. Front bits from the soles started falling off last year and I knew it won't be long, so they have to be commemorated now. Suitcases are even more ancient, probably from 60s they belong to my parents who keep their old papers, scarfs and gloves in them. Light was provided by a single desk lamp on the left and some secondary lights from the doorway on the left and hallway lights directly in front and above the set-up. I shot in raw and adjusted the mode for incadescent when opening the file in PS.

classic still life with great moody lighting nice shadow, and it tells a story so well. you totaly have the right feel with this image. looks like it may even work in a sepia or B&W well. would like to see it that way after the challenge.
