Daylilly detail. Picture taken in the afternoon, from the side; handheld camera; the flower was backlit by the sun.
Very slight gaussian blur applied (to the full image), colours and contrast adjusted just a little. Cropped a bit, resized, green/black border added, re-sharpened a bit.

Oh, this *is* nice. Interesting perspective, great colours and some attractive lighting. Personally, I'd like it to be a tad sharper on the stamens and a bit lighter, but this is still very nice. Well done. How did you do the lighting?
Terrific idea. The execution is very close, but not quite there yet. A tiny bit out of focus, unfortunately the difference between very good and sightly below average.
Wow - it looks as though the sun is literally coming out of the flower and shining on the stamens. Totally awesome lighting job and composition. The yellow on the brightly lit stamens is a tiny bit oversaturated, which takes away some detail from the part of the subject that my eye is really drawn to. If there was just a bit more detail there, this would be a 10. Still, an amazing and inspiring shot. 8
