Just playing with the term "and that’s my two cents" (my absentee ballot came in “two” late last year, so I never got a chance to vote. Just took a photo of two pennies and a broken pencil. The background is a Detroit Redwings jersey and my bed sheets. Used a desk lamp for lighting.
Made some small changes to the original, including the levels, brightness, and contrast. Also cropped a tiny bit. Applied USM for web viewing. Not expecting this one to do well at all, but I figured that I should at least submit something, so people can give me some pointers…. I want a dSLR :’(

Nice composition. I'm not sure what that is in the left hand side, though. The blown areas in the upper heads penny hurt this image, imo. Color looks true.
