Unfortunately, for this effort, the angle doesn't sell the shot. The shadows from the carpet on the print make it look too much like a print, and the lack of any real depth in the print cause it to look too 2D. My feeling, when I look at it, is that it is a carpet lying on another carpet. The shot itself is quite good, there's a sense of movement in the model, and the technicals are all fine, I just get absolutely no sense of height or of the carpet being in the air. |
