Our local school twilight food festival where we took photos for the school produced some lovely opportunities, this was one of them. It was only after I post-processed this image that I saw the purlple background almost matches the colour of motif on her face. It adds so much continuity to the image, I can't believe how lucku I was that someone with that coloured clothing was walking past as I took the shot.
Using the mega-zoom 35-432mm of the FZ20 makes this type of shot so easy to take.

This image was selected from a huge number of entries for the August/September issue of New Zealand's premier photographic magazine "D-Photo". It features as a full page along with a small bio and thumbnail of me on the last page of the magazine in a feature called "D-Showcase" I am very pleased with it.
