Gunsight Lake is a tarn, a glacial meltwater lake, in Glacier National Park, accessible by a six-mile backcountry trail. This is looking back down the valley that we came from, where it was raining. The trail we followed is just visible on the outcropping to the right.

PP was mostly Selective Color and dodge & burn.

It just came out that way. There was a veritable wall of rain falling in the valley back there, which stopped abruptly right near the treeline on the low ridge near the center of the frame. I actually added a slight amount of blue to the background, which was almost flat grey straight out of the camera. Thanks for the comment.

Great composition -- leading lines all over the place. Love the greens in the foreground. Out of curiosity, did you do some desat to the background or did it come that way? This is a beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.
