Beautiful-this goes on Luke's favorites.
IMO this is better than the similar one (similar in subject)
that placed 3rd in this challenge. Well composed, and I like
the detail in the foreground, while it doesn't stray from a
"landscape" photograph.
Hey G! This image rocks! IMHO, this has a better feel than the other Race Track. Don't get me wrong. The other image was great as well but I like the vertical orientation of this image. It gives it more depth adn distance. The duotone you used is exceptional as well. Great finish my friend ;)
Hey man, nice work. I also took mine on the 18th. Were you there the same time I was (3:00-4:00)?? I was pretty shocked to see another Racetrack picture show up in this challenge!
This is beautiful and one of the top photos in the challenge. There is another moving rocks pic in the challenge but it isn't as good as this one. I like how the rock and 'path' lead you into the photo.
I like how you emphasized the texture of the mud.. the sepia is a good choice - great crisp focus... I think the composition would have been stronger had you shown the rock in the foreground with it trailing off to the horizon.
I like both of the moving rock images in this challenge. I love the rich tonality of this one but the rock moving away does not have the impact of the rock coming at me in the other one.
Really fascinating - I have no idea what made that indentation in the rock nor what the black thing is but this is very interesting and the tones are beautiful! can't wait to read the description:-)
Okay, how did that happen??! I like the placement of the foreground rock, the clarity of the parched earth and, especially, the gradation of the mountains in the background. Great contrast and lighting. To my mind, perfect! 10
This is (slightly) my preference of the two studies of this rock. I'd like it even more if the rock and it's "trail" were not there at all. The foreground detail is very good, and the top third is masterful. 7.
What a strong graphic image! Fascinating subject, beautifully accomplished, Depth of field is perfect, exposure right on, duotone works very very well.
