Being a makeup artist and a fashion crazy person, I thouhgt this challenge was right up my alley. If it had been a member challenge I would have gone really wild but this has to do for now. ;)
Shot in a studio with two Bowens lights (I do not know the type). My friend, Arndís, is the model, I did the makeup and styling and was the assistant and of course the photographer.
The only post-processing I did was converting from RAW, cropping, resizing, USM (once for contrast and once for sharpening) and save from web.

Thank you everyone for getting me my second red ribbon. This photo is one of my all time favourites and I am soooo happy to see it win a ribbon.
I must thank my model Arndís and Larus for helping me in a small crisis.

I am so flattered that some people thought that it was my photo....but me being a Russian :-)
It is a wonderful photo and was my pick for a ribbon, good job! Congratulations!
Another amazing shot from one of my favourite photographers. This is superb! I only gave it a 7 at the time probably because of voting fatigue, but I wish I gave it a 10. You are an amazing girl.
Very nice lighting in this one. A very good looking model and hot clothing. Perhaps some extra space on the left would make the shot feel less tight? Anyway one of the best in the challenge.
This has been one of the truest "fashion" shots. A little advanced editing would help, to remove some of the excess hair, but was not allowed. Otherwise, it is ready for retail promotion.
I think I remember this young lady from another well prepared image in another challenge some time ago. Very attractive...hard to forget. ;^) I like the approach you've taken with the fasion piece - very trendy, nice pose by the model, great attention to the details (lighting, exposure, focus, etc...). Some nitpicking to do on the hair showing under her left hand. This leads to the fuzzies (?) on her visible gloved hand. Minor, I know.
This shot would be a fine image for publication. Well done.
Uh huh, yep that's a winner. Lovely lighting and of course, beautiful subject. Makes me want to run out and buy a big furry hat, and I'm far from needing one. :-)
This to me is my top scoring photo, and I will play a little bit of Tyra Banks here and say why. The lighting is very good. The make up is done well. Not over or under done. The hair is pleasing. The hat and outfit look wonderful on this model. The facial expression is spot on. The only distraction I see is the thumb. It stands out a bit too much and I would have had her hold that down. Without that, this could go on any make up cover and outshine some of today's top models. Very nicely done.
