My daughter Melissa who let me put on the make-up, mess up the hair (this was a very big deal) and take the pictures. I told her I wanted angry and boy, did I get it!

First entry this year I do believe and hopefully not the last. My daughter thinks we are crazy for wearing our hair and make up like this but I never did, I was a good girl, ::KOFF - KOFF - KOFF::

Wrong decade... Punk rock roots are deep in the 70's. Sex Pistols, who were said to be the original punk band came out in 1977 but the true roots began in 75-76... Nice shot though...

Sorry, this just looks like a Halloween make-up job to me. It doesn't feel authentic (this isn't really what 'original' punks looked like). Other than the make-up, there isn't really anything particulalrly 80's feeling to me about this shot.
Edited later...I think what I meant to say is I feel this shot is missing the edge the title, and to some degree, the challenge theme) suggests. In terms of portraiture, it is well done.
Nice portrait, three things that bother me with it though. 1. The overexposure is a little bit too much for me of the left cheek. 2. I would have liked the tip of the chin to be in the frame, I find it awkward that you cut it off like that. 3. A lack of catchlights in the eyes make them seem, well not dead but not as alive as they could have been. Love the makeup and hair though and the attitude the model is showing :)
...would have been in the 70s. (Original, I mean - of course there were Punks in the 80s!) Face looks a bit burnt out, but I'll check it on another monitor later.
