Cool shot of an ordinary object. Good use of lighting/shadows to add interest to the image. I'm not sure about the black along the top edge. It kind of seems to be a slight distracting, but only minor. But, it also looks to be maybe unavoidable? I wonder if a slightly prominent black border on the photo could possibly give it a more balanced feel in this case? Maybe not.

Nice use of shadows. Love the textures and tones. The area right where the sphere meets the base on the right of the frame is a little too bright.
