Devoted to my lovely wife Nastya on Valentines Day.
Out of the box a little I am sure, cos the hearts you can see are only between the lines, but I was inspired by a song from Edith Piaf:
Mon ami m'a donné
Mon ami m'a donné une fleur,
Une fleur que j'ai mise à mon cœur,
Sur mon cœur plein de lui.
Que la rose était belle.
Dans mon cœur plein de lui,
Le bonheur a fleuri.
Mon ami m'a donné un baiser,
Près du cœur, doucement l'a posé.
A mon cœur plein d'amour,
Que sa lèvre était douce.
Ce baiser plein d'amour,
L'ai donné à mon tour.
Mon ami m'a donné un serment,
Le serment de m'aimer si longtemps,
Si longtemps que les fleurs
Pousseront sur la terre,
Si longtemps que la fleur
Restera sur mon cœur.
Mon ami m'a donné du pleurer,
Du pleurer que n'ai pas mérité.
Pour essuyer mes pleurs,
J'ai pris la rose blanche,
J'ai pris la rose fleur
Qui était sur mon cœur.
Mon ami viendra me voir demain.
Plus de fleurs et beaucoup de chagrin.
J'irai voler des fleurs
Dans les jardins du monde.
J'irai voler des fleurs
La plus belle à mon cœur.
En prison, si l'on veut me jeter,
Je dirai à qui va me juger :
"Faites battre tambours
Et dressez la potence.
Plutôt que perdre amour,
Je volerai la France
Et le roi dans sa cour
Plutôt que perdre amour..."

This is a great picture, I'm giving it a 8. But your title.... well, to tell you exactly, this is a very bad translation. It should be "La petite fleur", but don't worry, I did not remove any points because of that.
Yeah my French sux I know, thanks for the correction :)
I know I went out of the box on this one, but the description said "Choose your interpretation of this lovely topic" so depicting a heart wasn't really necessary. I guess many people didn't know the French word "coeur" means heart. And my little hearts in between the words are far too soft as well. Oh well, I'm still very happy with this image. Thanx for your votes and comments.
Hi Gary, I really like these recent works with poetry and the 'oldness' look. So introspective and lovely. What are you using to make the grungey look?
nice complementary colors and the unusual back view makes this a great image.
But where is the heart?
Are they the things inbetween thewords?
if so, it's very subtle and a nice touch.
if not, then I can't find them/it!!!!!

Pretty - I like how the background echoes the flowers so well. Nice composition - a bit different but works. Nice detail and interesting collage effect with the text and the texture of the background.
Very well lit. Background color works well with the color of the flowers. Gives photo a nice, warm feel. Black specks are a bit of a distraction but because the photo has an "old" feeling, they don't really bother me too much.
