I think you were robbed. This is a great image. Love the way the background mimics the feathers of the owl. Really clear and precise. I guess most people failed to see the country connection, but in another challenge, such as birds, it would have probably been in the top 40 at least.
I just love the expression! Some of the background structures seem a little overprocessed, with some distinct and uneven burning. But overall, I like it very much.
