The wide angle caused his head to look too big for his body and like he might just fall on his face if not for the fence but it wasn't a big enough distortion to appear as if it was shot that way on purpose. ..
Thank you again (also for another chuckle) - just to clarify, I didn't use a wide-angle lens, but yes the perspective/angle was quite sharp, intentionally. A very gentle horse.. equine.

Hi, I actually liked your entry and gave it a 7. Your original is a great shot in itself but how you pushed the levels of processing make it rather different. For me it works. :)
I'd be curious to see the original before post-processing. It's a little over the top on the whites and highlights for my personal taste, but nice composition.
