 A hard shot to set up. It was 19 degrees out and I had to dip my hands in water, then dip them in potting soil, go out with no coat, and try to get a decent shot. Camera was set on auto. Post processing, cropped, adjusted exposure, adjusted color balance, adjusted skin tone to heavy tan, burned in vein and shadow details, and colored yellow shadows with a beige. Resized, adjusted focus, and submitted.

I was trying to depict an international style image, and I liked the idea of using a burka. The idea came from a photo book I have, and my hands image is very similar to the one I saw in the book. I felt it had more emotion and said much more. I am sorry that nobody appreciates the contrast used, the tones, or the strength of this image.

This is a good idea. These hands just don't look very hard working. Dirty, yes. I also find the blue fabric distracting. It doesn't seem to fit.
