 Just to clear this up the noise on the photo is not noise:) that is just the texture of my skin:)

focus is good.
A catch light in the eye would improve it a lot

I think this is an excellent self portrait. This made me stop to wonder what you are thinking about. I think your placement is spot on. I love it just the way it is!

It is an interesting composition and there is plenty of detail on the left side of the face despite the overall darkness of the image. One thing that I think would improve it though is to crop the right side of the image off right at the point it goes from detail to darkness (center of the nose). Just a thought.
