Looks a little oversharpened (noticeable on the rocks). Without seeing the face/head of the animal, its kinda hard to have something to identify with in the shot. The subject is the animal (seal?), but the texture of the shot is the rocks, which in my mind, attract more attention (contrary to what I'd perceive your intentions to be).
If you could try this shot again using a continuous shooting mode on your camera (if available), you'd have a better chance of getting the seal right before his head goes under, creating a better shot imho. |
