This is beautiful image Mark. Congratulations! My only nitpick would be the left side of the lighthouse looks a tiny bit overexposed. That's probably due to size of the image. You loose so much detail by shrinking an image to fit DPC's stupid pixel limitations that you're left with only a suggestion of the actual image. When I shrink a photo from my 5D I end up with less than 15% of the original pixels.
Congratulations not only on achieving a most impressive 5th place in this toughest of tough challenge!!! But I notice on your profile you reached another of your 2006 goals in attaining a score over 7! Way to go! And this is certainly a deserving image!! BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!
nice effect of the water splashes on the rocks in the distance and the milkyness in the foreground. while still keeping everything else crisp and clean - good job
Good job on this shot. I like the shutter speed effect on the water ... it gives it some pwer and energy. I really like the processing with the brightness on the lighthouse and the dark rich colours of the land.
