More then anything else the shadow makes the picture. I thought it was an ok shot until I scrolled down to see the perfect shadow on the ground. Might even crop to bring more attention to the shadow.
I really like this one. Great timing for that pose and great composition to get the shadow behind him like that. For action it's nice to either use the largest aperture possible, or use fill flash to make the subject stand out a little more. Maybe f/3.5 and flash underexposed a bit, and then 1/250th or whatever the max sync speed is.
