Fantastic shot. I love it when people do unusual stuff with flowers and pull it off ... you definitely did. Congrats on your high placement :)

I love how you have thought this composition out, and really love the simplicity of the light, shape, and form....."WOW" factor for me.....

Very pretty but I think I rather see the whole head of the tulip. Very nice light though.

I like the lighting in this & I like how you cut the actual flower out so all the focus is on the leaves.

I like the lighting. I know the bottom leaf is the subject, but I wish the whole flower had been included. 7

Really beautiful use of lighting. It's hard for me to get excited about flower shots, but this is really beautiful.

Nice shot, great lighting, an interesting framing: the eye travels at a very unusual trajectory. Probably too subtle for the DPC crowds, though. I'm giving it a full mark.

So lovely. The simplicity of it makes it even more alluring to me. The purple in combination with the green - wow. Love the curl of the leaf along with the perfect light hitting it here and there. It has an almost "musical note" look to it. Very well executed shot.

This is stunning! I wish the flower wasn't cut off tho. But the lighting and razor sharpness are to die for!
