Found these action figures at target and I was off and running. Rocks I got from Walgreen’s, the background was a print from my new Epson R1800 (Sweet A** Printer).
Post Processing: Levels, Dodge and Burn, Cloned out small hot spot, curves, crop, resize and save for the web. I took approximately 40 exposures before settling on this one image.

Good idea. Using your editing tools, you may have been able to take away from the 'toy' feel and give it a darker battle feel. Maybe some fog, darker lighting, more than one light source in different colours?
