Yes, this is a zoo picture. Perhaps my first in competition. Certainly my first at DPC. But these flamingos live a sylvan life, much as they would in the wild.
The beauty of this bird needed little enhancement. Crop, Levels, a tiny bit of dodging in the shadow area and finally, sharpen.

Another one of your images that I loved in a challenge, and I actually gave you a "10" for this one..... Yes, this one must also be added to my favorites as well..... I love the strong composition, beautiful richness of the colors, textures, and everything about it.....
This is a rally great close-up of a flamingo..... His colors and the textures are just so good..... Yes, it does have the "WOW" factor as well.....This is also in the top three for me.....
what a great shot........ almost abstract... the hues are beautiful, the unique eye..... the delicate feathers so wonderfully rendered... the overall color is exquisite
I like the composition, the focus/DOF and so many shades of pink...but that eye is creeping me out (won't affect my scoring, it will just give me nightmares)
This is absolutely wonderful. Perfect focus, interesting composition and wow colour. I would guess it's a zoo shot - but when an image is this beautiful I can't knock it down. Top marks.
