Robert's great floral photography with black background was into my taste - and also something that I could try to imitate.
Simple set up, set my camera on tripod and taped a black t-shirt into my closet door for background. PP included Rotate Canvas, Crop, Image Size, Curves, Shadow Highlight, USM and Burn (for background only).

Lovely cactus and bowl patterns and colors. Just a little more cactus and bowl and a little less negative space would be better. I like the image a lot.
I thought someone would do Robert. Robert is know for flowers, his fish net and abstract architecture. However, this is your take on the subject and the photographer so I will comment based on this image. I think the black background suits well in this image. The pot is a bit distracting but the sharpness in the cacti is excellent.
