Challenge: Singled-Out (Advanced Editing IV) Camera: Pentax ist DS Location:* Bartram High School, Jacksonville, FL Date: Jan 15, 2006 Aperture: 5.6 ISO: 3200 Shutter: 1/60th Date Uploaded: Jan 15, 2006 Add photograph to your favorites Add photographer to your favorites	My son's basketball coach, taken during a game today (my son is the child in the foreground). Shot at iso 3200 due to weak lighting using a 300mm lense at 1/60th of a second, so I was pleased with what I was able to accomplish with a steady hand and a good dose of Neatimage. White balance, sharpening, USM via photoshop, neatimage cleanup, and then resize for web.

I think this hits the submission guidelines square on the head. Excellent example of a candid feeling "singled out" shot.

Great candid, good focus, and nice use of shallow DOF to isolate your subject. Well done

Good take on this challenge. His pose and the interest he is portraying here work well. Have you tried this in B &W or a slightly different crop? Perhaps the coach not being dead-center would work a little better? (6)

Nice shot, good use of DOF, but the composition is a bit boring, with the main subject in the middle of the frame.

That orange hat is too distracting for me.

very expressive capture. wish the strong orange hat wasn't such a distraction. maybe b&w could have reduced the hat's impact
