Superb candid portrait. For some reason he reminds me of my cousin, who is not Asian.

This one I remember. Truly spectacular image. Most images on here come and go, but this one stays with you. Beautifully done!

Congratulations Peter, another great candid to add to your impressive collection.

Peter, Peter: I am shouting this from my rooftop: Congratulations on your 4th placing. Should have been wearing a ribbon. What an outstanding capture of the Oriental quiet wisdom. Sir, this image floored me upon first sight.

A very humble thanks to all of you for your comments and support. I am a lucky man to have the 100mm f2.8 Macro Canon, what a magnificent tool!

yay! I was one of your many 7s. I would say something about American_Horse's comment, because I think he's totally wrong, but I think that's so obvious that no more need be said... anyway, congratulations on your excellent placement in this difficult challenge.

Nice one Peet, if he looked at me like that, I would have been running! Congratulations on a stunning portrait.

While even in my crazy part of the world this look might well be considered "exotic" and not conservative : )
Post actions
Great portrait. I gave it a 7. I would have given it a higher score but I felt that having him in the foreground so separate from everyone else didn't fulfill the challenge very well.
Post actions
Could this be the work of the good Dr. Venter? Great capture

Wonderful character study. 7

Well composed. Well lit. Lots of detail. And there is a crowd. Well done.

Excellent photo. Love the colors, and the depth of field. I'm guessing this one will do really well, as it should.
Post actions
Fantastic shallow DOF to isolate your subject. I would have preferred it more if the subject was not looking my way. Nice sharp focus and good lighting.
Post actions
gotta watch those conservative looking one's. looks like he's ready pounce.

Excellent shallow DOF and great tonal values - 10

I love this one. The shallow depth of field is perfect for this challenge. What an interesting face!
Post actions
Very nice! My choice for the blue!
Post actions
Wow.

Confucius say.. very nice portrait. I couldn't resist.
Post actions
Interesting face. I would have moved the individual to the left to give the eye more space and avoid an almost centered image.
Post actions
One of the best in the group ;)
Post actions
A wonderful shot, one of my favourites
Post actions
Technically, this is a very nice photo. Lighting, dof, focus, subject, fit to challenge...all very good.
Post actions
nice shot and wisdom speaks
Post actions
I think he spotted you...an exquisite photo, indeed. His expression is subtle without being obtuse. Great capture.
Post actions
Nicely done, DOF well used. The dead in the middle composition is a tad boring, which is my only remark to this very interesting shot.
Post actions
Wonderful! Echos of " The Eccentric "...beautiful work.
Post actions
Stepped right out of an old story book.

The challenge asked for a person to be singled out in a crowd. This is a stunning candid portrait but maybe a little short of the challenge
Post actions
I think this is a fantastic shot, the letdown for me is in the cropping.
Post actions
On topic, and a nice photo!
Post actions
absolutely stunning!!..10
