Taken at the Washington DC Folklife festival, in the section dedicated to Mali. This was a demonstration of making shea butter. The woman making it had just left her post, where she had been stirring this concoction.

i think the key to this challenge was providing just enough context so that curiosity was provoked, but left unfulfilled. in this case, the image is perhaps a little too much of a 'non sequitir'. the lighting is good.
