Good idea, but try and get rid of the shadow - Get some more contrast and try and do away with the edge of the table or whatever the candle is standing on.
Interesting shaped candle holder. For me, this would be more interesting if you focused in closer, or maybe different lighting, or added another element or two to your still life.
The focus and lighting have beaten you here. The shadow, instead of being a feature is a little distracting. To avoid that, the more you pull the candlestick away from the wall, the more out of focus it becomes
very nice, my only suggestions are that the focuse could have been sharper and the cloth the candle stick is sitting on is too creased and creates too many shadows
