Extraordinary tones and textures. I usually find that patterned images are more striking with a central point of focus to interrupt the pattern, but this one is so nicely done that it stands alone very well.

Super textured shapes here, great compoeition and it also has a great metallic feel to it..... I also like the reflection and slight color in the pool of water lying between the various shapes/ridges of sand. I just love this image, and hope it does well. Definately one of my favorites.....

I like this shot. I think it would be better with more reflections because of the contrast between the brown sand and the blue sky.

I like the silvery cast to it with that touch of blue. Sand and water make some really fun shapes and you captured a nice image of some of them. If it had a single bird, or starfish or shell to add one addition touch, that would really make it for me.

When I saw this photo, immediately JJBeguin's ribbon entry "Seaside Arabesque" came to mind. I'm not sure if converting this photo to black and white would make it better, but the overexposed whites and the detail-less blacks stopped me from giving it a 9 or an 8. The composition is good though. 7

Love the contrast. It feels a little too blown or contrasty at times but it is well balanced and nicely composed so still one of my favorites :-D
