Set the vase further away from the background, throw some light on that background and bounce a bit of extra light on the vase.

Tough image to score. You start with two strong shapes, the apples and the vase,then unfortunately you confuse the shape of the apples with the pattern/texture of the vase. The vase gets lost in the background, because it's pattern works as camoflauge, breaking up the outline. Finally, I just don't like the green apples on the blue-gray background

Cool idea, and great photo, would have liked the picture a bit more without seeing the texture on the wall and having the colors slightly brighter :) 6
