 oops forgot to change the iso speed after mucking about the week before... 800 is not really suitable!

I like the idea here not sure of the color of the background as it appears a little wishy washy......

I don't think the pink background was the right choice here. I find the shadows distracting. I'd either get rid of them altogether (not easy) or make them a feature of the photo ie make them darker and contrasty.
I wonder if you considered other arrangements.
