I had no intention of entering the challenge, but I happened to catch this guy (handheld) through a dirty window while playing with a new lens. Wheee!
I don't expect a great score, but I like the photo a lot. ;-)
Nothing fancy on the processing- levels, a little sharpening and blurring, selective color enhancements, burned in the background and dodged around the eye and chest.

8 - Very good. Nice color and composition. Like the snow/ice on the ground as an added element here. Criticism; difficult, as opportunity doesn't wait long (if indeed it was there at all), but 'if only' you got it 'taking a step'. Seems a little 'soft', whether that is focus or 'neat image' not sure, either way good capture. Just seems the snow/ice is slightlysharper, but difficult to discern at this size. Up to 8 from 7.
Awesome capture! Too bad your are just a touch soft. Don't get me wrong. I have plenty of these in my digital portfolio. You know, the shots that are just enough off that you bang your head against the computer desk...
