PS Work:
Some heavy work in RAW Conversion to make the shadows deeper.
Sharpen 300%, Rad 0.2 Tol 0 - Canon recommended sharpen for 10D
Gaussian blur on a copy layer. Applied layer mask to bring back the sharpness to the eye.
Some extensive work in curves and hue/sat to get the dark moody effect.
Brightness/Contrast.
Levels to bring back the black point.
Added largish black border to put some space around the face
Dosge and burn to merge the shadows with the black border, and to bring out the highlights in the ribboning

this is wonderful. i love the colors. they are really bold and make this image so appealing. and the post-processing is very well done here, you certainly achieved the moody effect. i love this. great job.
I keep coming back to this image...such gorgeous, rich color. Very emotive, very surreal. Technically, the light and the DOF are perfect for the title and the type of shot you have selected for the name. Wonderful job and I hope you do well....sometimes gems like this one are skipped over and that would be a shame. :)
