We've got DOF here but hardly anything is in crisp focus. If I could see more of the knife in focus, I might have liked it better. The background is a simple gradient. If there had been a hint of something in the background to put the knife wielder into context, it would have also improved it IMHO.

nice idea, maybe if the person would have stoof behind the knife, now you have too much dead space on the left..
