Well I do hope you get it...if you do thanks, if you don't, well sorry I'm just not a head basher. Just sound it out a few times...I'm not one to make the title Scowl Vert (Site Council Member Shannon Calvert AKA scalvert). Hate those long titles with explanations in it. Well I better put the scalvert in parenthesis...it might help a little....nah...fuh get about it...yeah...I better...epecially after the candlelight fiasco....
Post: Serious blow out led to serious cropping...Got rid of as much as I could without losing the facial expression. Did some layer adjustments for levels, brightness contrast, black and white points, channel mixer, New hue and saturation to colorize green and then to saturate it some more. Blemishes...not many, just a few clones here and there and some healing of remaining hot spots. Oh and nasal hygene was done as well.
POST CHALLENGE: PRINT AVAILABLE!!! LOL! Just kidding....call me psychic!
Vert is French for Green and is a form of the english word verdant...also green...but Oh well...I just thought too much again.
Now as to those HULK remarks...come on...get up to date....It's Shrek! LOL.

Don't cha just hate it when you have ta explain your puns?
Seriously, you have a good pun going here and good photography to go with it. It must have been difficult to keep a straight face (scowl) while the timer clicked away. I like the green / vert cast to the image and overall I like the composition. Perhaps it could have been just a touch stronger with more of the eyebrows in the frame.
I suppose this was the victim of those of our more hurried voters who didn't take the time to find the story and joke in this good image. But I expect you are pleased with the image and that is what counts.
My immediate thought upon viewing this photo was the incredible hulk is alive and well here at DPC. :-) I wonder if this is an inside DPC joke? Technically looks well done, just kind of creeps me out. Bumping up after second look.
Not sure how this is a pun. Not even a very good scowl. However, since you used the word 'vert' in your title, perhaps it would have been better to have the supposed scowl verticle and not horizontal.
