i pulled off the highway (i-65 south Indiana)...
there are so many good things to photograph on the side of the road. I didn't shoot a lot here because it was so cold and foggy and windy and I didn't have snowboots.

can't see any death in this image, only a tree in hibernation, but the composition is excellent, way overexposed, but I think that's what you were trying so no minus for that...
Does the white represent the great unknown? I could conjure up fear form that, but really the feeling I get is more serenity, not fear from this image. Nice composition though, it would make a great CD cover image I think.
Hmmm, I'm not sure how this scares me. I think we are all afraid of dying, but I'm not sure this fence scares me to death. Maybe it's the vast emptyness on the other side. Anyway, this is actually a good photograph by technical aspects. I can't quite give you a great score though because it just doesn't bring a lot of fear to the viewer.
lovely shot but the alegorical often get hammered in these challenges. of course in a week this will be a much better photo than most of the top ten finishers when no one cares about the challenge topic.
I like the image, but somehow the fence seems to detract from the image overall. The dead grass along the fence line does a nice job of grounding the tree.
